Netiquette

Today we had a conversation on "netiquette", however I disagree on a few things. A few friends and I have had this conversation many times and we agree to disagree. Here's my take on it, where is it written that using all caps, is yelling? Who invented this and Why? What about those people who are visually impaired (like myself) who use ALL CAPS just so that they can see better? I think it is unacceptable for people's characters to be misread all because they use ALL CAPS. I think people should stop making a big deal out of little things such as this.... Just my take on it.
